Achievements

 

2003:               ‘Victim’s Dignity Restoration Workshop’ with the ‘Commission for Reception,  Truth and Reconciliation’ (CAVR).

 

                        Mural painting in a church garden in the Lospalos district.

 

                        Mural painting on the Dili Football Stadium walls in collaboration with a  vaccination campaign by ‘UNICEF’.

                       

                        Participated in a workshop for streetchildren in Dili in collaboration with FCJ  Posko and supported by ‘UNICEF’,
                        Dili.

 

2004:               Teacher for ‘Trimester Teacher Training Courses’ in collaboration with ‘Instituto Camoes’ and the Ministry of
                        Education & Culture, Timor-Leste.

                       

                        In January Abe went on a cultural visit to Bali, Indonesia.

                       

                        Mural painting for the ‘Freeflow Dive Center’, Dili.

 

                        Mural painting on water tanks displaying the proper use of water in the Ermera district. A project in collaboration
                        with ‘Cooperaçao Cafe Timor’.

 

                        ‘CDUSU Art Auction’ exhibition in Darwin, Australia. The event was organized by the ‘Charles Darwin University
                        Students’ Union’ and the ‘Darwin-Dili Sister City Committee’.

 

2005:               He created panels and posters for the election of Xefe Aldeian and Xefe Suco for STAE and UNDP.

 

                        Participated in a workshop on  Human Rights held by ‘UNOTIL’ and followed by the creation of panels with human

                        rights issues, prior to the exhibition ‘Etre. The Face of Human Rights’.

 

                        In October he participated in the Magnum Archives photo exhibition `Etre. The Face of Human Rights’, curated by

                        Lars Müller. The event took place in the Arte Moris exhibition hall, accompanied by  paintings and panels on

                        human rights from Arte Moris, film documentaries by ‘Centro Audiovisual Max Stahl, Timor’, music by the Arte Moris

                        ‘Rabenta Stomp’ band and the Arte Moris ‘HaKa’ djembe group, performances by Bibi Bulak and Galaxy, rock

                        band. The exhibition was organised in collaboration with the Swiss Embassy in Jakarta, Indonesia.

 

                        Youth workshop in Viqueque, Timor-Leste.

 

2005-2006:      Illustrations for the ‘General Business Idea Manual ‘ (GYBI), ‘ILO Stage Project’, Dili.

 

2006:               Sign painting for Dili Club, Dili.                        

 

                        Sign painting for Motion, Dili.

 

                        Creation of posters, banners and graffiti for the ‘Alternative Resistance Peace Campaign’ in collaboration with the

                        Ministry of Foreign Affairs and ‘Hahi Ita Rain’ (Celebrate our Country), event office PM. All artworks are displayed

                        in Dili and various districts throughout Timor-Leste.

                       

                        Mural painting for ‘CARE International’ with paricipating youth of Bairo Pite, Dili.

 

                        Facilitator of the Lafaek Drawing Competition organised by CARE International.

                       

                        Graffiti and mural paintings at Suco Comoro and Comoro soccer field in Kampung Baru, Comoro.

     

                        One month of exhibitions and courses by invitation of the  ‘Willoughby Workshop Art Centre NSW’, COFA (College

                        of Fine Art) NSW University and ‘Blue Mountains East Timor Sisters’ in Lawson, New South Wales, Australia.
