Work Experience

1998-2002:                  Work as a fisherman in Dili.
2002:                           Manager of the Lucky Star football team.

Achievements

2004:               Participated in a workshop for street children. A collaboration between FCJ Posko and ‘UNICEF’.

                        Reached 1st place in the ‘Global Poster Exhibition against HIV / AIDS’ organised by ‘Church World Service’, Dili.

                        In November Abino participated in the `Arte Moris. Living Art from Timor’ exhibition in Sydney. Spent one month in
                        Sydney giving and taking various courses by invitation from COFA (College of Fine Art) New South Wales
                        University.

2005:               Stomp lessons with Dili International School.

Participated in a workshop on Human Rights held by 'UNOTIL" and followed by the creation of panels with human rights issues, prior to the exhibition 'Etre. The Face of Human Rights'.

In October he participated in the Magnum Archives photo exhibition `Etre. The Face of Human Rights’, curated by Lars Müller. The event took place in the Arte Moris exhibition hall, accompanied by  paintings and panels on human rights from Arte Moris, film documentaries by ‘Centro Audiovisual Max Stahl, Timor’, music by the Arte Moris ‘Rabenta Stomp’ band and the Arte Moris ‘HaKa’ djembe group, performances by Bibi Bulak and Galaxy, rock band. The exhibition was organised in collaboration with the Swiss Embassy in Jakarta, Indonesia.

                       Youth workshops in various districts throughout Timor-Leste.

2006:               Drawings for the organisation CONCERN, Dili.

                        Illustrations for CAVR, Dili.

                        Sign painting for Motion, Dili.

                        IDP camp drawing session, Dili.

                       Creation of posters, banners and graffiti for the ‘Alternative Resistance Peace Campaign’ in collaboration with the
                       Ministry of Foreign Affairs and ‘Hahi Ita Rain’ (Celebrate     our Country), event office PM. All artworks are displayed
                       in Dili and various districts throughout Timor-Leste.

                       Creation of a banner for CRS (Catholic Relief Services), Dili.

                       Illustrations for UNICEF, Dili. 

                       Assisted in mural painting with the community of Kampung Baru, Comoro,   Dili.

                       Silk screen printing courses in Bali for one month supported by ‘CRS’ and the ‘Goodwill Ambassador for
                       Timor-Leste in Australia’.               

                       Illustrations for a leaflet detailing catastophes for ICRC (International Committee of Red Cross).                      

                       Private Djembe tutor.

2007:              In February - March he followed courses at the Gordon Institute of TAFE in Geelong, VI Australia. 

                       Honorary member of the Geelong Art Society.

Responsibilities in Arte Moris

l      Participation in all daily duties
l     Teacher for junior students in Dili and various other districts throughout Timor-Leste
l      Member of ‘HaKa’, the Arte Moris drumming group
l      Member of the Arte Moris ‘Rebenta Stomp’ band
l       Participation in the running of the ‘Arte Moris IDP Camp’ management in 2006
